1. Who we are
Lockwarr Bluffs is operated by Bota Ent. Bota Ent is the data controller for the personal data described here — we decide why and how it is processed. Contact us at support@lockwarrbluffs.com.
2. What we collect and why
- Account data — email address, password (stored hashed by our authentication provider), and your chosen guild name. Used to create and secure your account and to identify you in the game. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
- Game data — saved progress, coins, land, hours played, purchase records and leaderboard standing. Used to run the game, restore your save and publish the leaderboard (your guild name and score are publicly visible). Legal basis: contract performance and our legitimate interest in offering a leaderboard.
- Support messages — anything you send us by email. Used to answer you. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
- Technical and usage data — IP address, device and browser information, log and error data. Used for security, fraud prevention, diagnosing faults and improving the game. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
- Marketing — if we ever email you news about the game, we do so only with your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time.
We do not collect or store card numbers. Payment details are collected and processed by Paddle.
3. Who we share data with
- Service providers / subprocessors — hosting, database and authentication providers, error logging and support tooling, acting on our instructions.
- Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, for the sale of TROAĖ, order management, payments, tax compliance, invoicing and refunds.
- Professional advisers such as lawyers and accountants where necessary.
- Authorities where we are required to disclose by law.
We do not sell your personal data. Where data is transferred outside the UK/EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses.
4. How long we keep it
Account and game data are kept while your account is active and for up to 24 months after it becomes inactive or you ask us to close it, after which they are deleted or anonymised. Purchase and tax records are kept as long as the law requires. Logs are typically kept for up to 12 months.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access your data, correct it, have it erased, restrict or object to processing, receive a portable copy, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, email support@lockwarrbluffs.com — we aim to reply within one month. If you are in the UK or EEA, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection supervisory authority.
6. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and row-level database rules so players can only reach their own records. No system is perfect, but we take this seriously.
7. Cookies and local storage
We use strictly necessary cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in and to hold your local game save. Our payment provider sets cookies needed for checkout and fraud prevention. We do not use advertising cookies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, though sign-in and saves may then stop working.
8. Children
The Game is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes
We will update this page and the date above whenever this notice changes.
